Bakersfield Police say they will not press charges in a misdemeanor sexual battery case involving Monsignor Craig Harrison

BPD says they investigated Harrison over allegations dating back the early 1990s. In a statement the agency says the case” does not meet established standards for a recommendation for filing of criminal charges. It will not be forwarded to the Kern County District Attorney for review.”

The statement goes on to add the investigation “is closed at this time.” Should additional information become available, BPD may reopen the inquiry.
