Bakersfield Police says they will have more officers on the road, looking for drunk or drug impaired drivers in the weeks leading up to Labor Day. They’re also planning a DUI checkpoint somewhere within the city. BPD says Labor Day weekend is one of the deadliest times of year for alcohol-involved crashes.
