Hunter to Change Plea to Guilty

SAN DIEGO (AP) – California Rep. Duncan Hunter has spent more than a year denying any wrong doing, but now he says he plans to plead guilty to misusing campaign funds in federal court in San Diego Tuesday. The six-term Republican had claimed he was the victim of a political witch hunt by federal prosecutors. The change of plea will mark the second time this year a Republican congressman re-elected after being indicted has later pleaded guilty to federal charges.
