Most incumbents running for office in Kern County were leading as of last night.

Bakersfield Mayor Karen Goh, 4th District Supervisor David Couch, 5th District Supervisor Leticia Perez and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy all had commanding leads as the early returns came in.In the race for 1st District Supervisor, Phillip Peters was winning. The 1st District did not have an incumbent. Medical Marijuana measures D and E, along with Proposition 13 were all losing as the early votes were counted, In the State Assembly races, both incumbents Rudy Salas and Devon Mathis were winning their contests.
