The Buena Vista Museum of Natural History and Science will be closed to the public from March 15th – April 14th, 2020

Maya Cinemas-All Theater Locations Closed Temporarily

American Cancer Society cancels local Relay For Life events due to coronavirus.

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the BFD has postponed all public events until further notice.

Kern County Museum grounds to be closed to the public starting Mar. 18, and its spring events have been canceled in response to COVID-19. The Museum’s Lori Brock Children’s Discovery Center will be closed Mar. 17-Apr. 17.

Kern County Library-All branches closed until April 13th

Critters Without Litters is suspending services to the public.

CAPK closing their Head Start and Early Head Start Centers effective at the end of the day on Tuesday, March 17.

CALM will join other local museums in temporarily closing. This closure will take effect tomorrow, March 17, 2020 and continue through at least April 13, 2020.

Evening at the Races event rescheduled. New date to be announced in the coming weeks.

BMoA will temporarily close as of March 17 due to growing concerns about the spread of the COVID19 virus.

The Valley Children’s Ice Center will close effective immediately for an indefinite period of time. This closure is to protect the health and safety of our valued guests, hockey players, skaters, and spectators.

4th Annual CSUB Cut a Thon has been postponed. A new date will be determined.

Diocese of Fresno: All daily and weekend masses, all catholic schools, meetings, activities, operations and diocese retreats are suspended Mar. 16-31

Bakersfield March For Peace Mar. 13 at MLK Park canceled

Delano PD’s upcoming Block Party has been postponed out of an abundance of caution. They hope to reschedule the event in May.

The March 31st performance of Dancing With The Stars Live at Mechanics Bank Theater has been canceled. Purchases made through AXS.com will be automatically refunded; all others should return to their point of purchase for a refund.

Farmers Markets in Bakersfield located at 3700 Mall View Road each Saturday from 9am-2pm and at 8800 Ming Avenue each Sunday from 9am-2pm, will be closed through the end of March due to the Coronavirus
