KHSD Pushes Back School Opening Day

The Kern High School District Board voted last night to change opening day for this year.The board voted to start school on August 24th. That’s a delay of 8 days. The board also agreed to not mandate teachers be physically present on campus to teach. The teachers will instead be given the choice of teaching from home or on campus. The board also took no action on the issue of the South High School mascot last night.
