Deadly Dive Boat Fire Anniversary

(Santa Barbara, CA) — Today is the one year anniversary of the dive boat fire that killed 34 people of the coast of Santa Cruz Island. Earlier this week, the National Transportation Safety Board announced they’re holding a special meeting to discuss findings of their investigation into what happened. Board members will meet on October 20th and plan to reveal their final report when they’re finished. All 33 “Conception” boat passengers died while sleeping in the lower hull of the boat, while five crew members in separate area above them survived.
