Zogg Fire Stalls As Containment Improves

(Redding, CA) — Firefighters are starting to turn the corner on the Zogg Fire in Shasta and Tehama Counties in Northern California. Cal Fire says containment improved from just nine-percent last night to 26-percent this morning. The fire has nearly stalled at just over 55-thousand-acres, burning only a couple-hundred more overnight. However, the blaze could regain the upper hand, with the forecast calling for higher winds, hotter temperatures and lower humidity levels over the next two days. The Zogg Fire has killed four people and destroyed at least 147 structures since it began five-days-ago.
