Kern On Track for Red Tier, Other Counties Change Status

(Sacramento, CA) — While some California counties are advancing into less-restrictive tiers, others are moving backwards. California Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly gave an update yesterday on counties that have moved forward and backward on the state’s reopening system. Humboldt, Plumas, Siskiyou and Trinity counties have advanced into the yellow tier. Merced, Ventura and Yuba counties have moved into the red tier. Inyo County is now in the orange tier. The counties moving back to more-restrictive tiers are Tehama and Shasta.
