Members of the The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, the Tulare County Fire Department, the California Highway Patrol and the Visalia City Fire Department are on scene right now of a train derailment along Highway 99.
Just before 7 a.m. today, seven rail cars derailed on Northbound Highway 99, just north of Goshen, resulting in a hazardous materials spill.
Until further notice, Highway 99 will be closed in both directions between Avenue 384 and Betty Drive. Right now, Emergency responders are assessing the scene. And we’re asking drivers to please use an alternate route. There are no injuries reported at this time.
