A new program just launched will help pay rent and utility bills for up to twelve months for people having hard times because of the pandemic. It’s a new program from the Housing Authority of Kern County, and Assistant Executive Director Heather Kimmel says it’s funded through a federal grant….

There are eligibility requirements. You can apply through the Housing Authority’s website. Kimmel says the amount of funding is significant, but urges people to apply before the funding runs out.
