UPDATE: All three suspects have been identified in the officer-involved-shooting.The two subjects arrested in association with this deadly force encounter are identified as Jorge Retamoza-Martinez (29) of Wasco and Jose Alberto Perez Jr. (32) of Bakersfield. Retamoza-Martinez was placed under arrest for grand theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, felon in possession of a loaded firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and resisting arrest.
Perez Jr. was placed under arrest for grand theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, felon in possession of a loaded firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, resisting arrest and felony evading.
Two loaded handguns, a loaded shotgun, burglary tools and four catalytic converters were located during scene processing.
The circumstances of this officer involved shooting are currently under investigation and more details will be forthcoming as this investigation develops. The involved officer was equipped with a body worn camera device.
The subject shot and killed has been identified as 30-year-old Abraham Torres Meza of Bakersfield.
