Deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office are looking for the suspects wanted in the shooting of an 11-year-old girl.
On August 16, 2021, at 9:15 p.m., the Kern County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a victim of a shooting had arrived at a local hospital. Deputies began an investigation and found that an 11-year-old female juvenile had been shot while she was a passenger in her mother’s vehicle at the intersection of N. Tulare St. and Jeffrey St. Her mother immediately drove her to the hospital to be treated.
There were three other juveniles in the car ranging from 1 to 14-years-old, and they were uninjured. Their mother, who was the driver, had minor injuries. Through the initial investigation it appears the victims were followed by another vehicle for several blocks. Once they got to the intersection of N. The suspect vehicle was described only as a truck which was occupied by at least two people.
