On the 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, the Bakersfield Fire Department will be holding a 9/11 Remembrance event at their southwest Bakersfield station. The all-day event Saturday will begin at 9:30 am and will include two F-15 flyovers, musical performances, and videos honoring those who lost. In the evening, 27 Kern County military members will be honored as well.

The event is free to attend. Parking is available at the businesses on River Run Blvd and shuttles will be running all day from Park at Riverwalk. The event will be livestreamed as well.
