The Bakersfield Police Department has arrested a woman for a fatal shooting in south Bakersfield.The full release is below:

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at approximately 6:30 pm, the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a residence in the 700 block of Digges Lane, for a report of an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

During the investigation, detectives arrested Cecilia Rios (38), the wife of the victim, for murder. The investigation is on–going.

The identity of the victim will be released at a later time by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
