Fairfax Middle School Student Arrested with Replica Gun

Deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office have taken a juvenile into custody after receiving reports of a student with a gun on campus. The full release can be seen below:

On October 14, 2021 at 8:30 a.m., Kern County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Fairfax Middle School for the report of a student possibly armed with a firearm. The school, along with additional schools in the area, were placed on lockdown and deputies responded to the scene.

At 9:56 a.m., deputies located the involved student and determined the firearm was a replica. All lockdowns have been lifted.

The juvenile was arrested for PC 664/212.5 – Attempted Robbery and PC 422 – Criminal Threats, and will be booked at juvenile hall.
