It started as a simple call of a suspicious man looking to possibly break into a car, and turned into a near death experience for a Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy. Valdez somehow only needed a few stitches, and was treated and released from the hospital. The bullet ended up in Valdez’s hat. Rojas faces several charges, including attempted murder.
