RIVER FLOW CUT FOR REPAIR NEAR PARK AT RIVERWALK

The river flow near the Park at Riverwalk has been cut by the City of Bakersfield so the area can dry out for required maintenance and repair. The work that starts in October is required by both the Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA, which involves clearing sediment from the riverbed that can impede the flow of the Kern River and make it harder for aquifer’s to recharge.
