Miranda Lambert announced on social media Tuesday (February 23) that a new song titled “Drunk (and I Don’t Wanna Go Home),” featuring Elle King, will be released on Friday (February 26).
Earlier, Lambert and King had teased a new collaboration on social media on Monday (February 22).
A photo shared by Lambert showed her and King leaning against what looks like a vintage car. King is seen clad in an 80s-styled wedding dress, while Lambert is wearing a bright pink bridesmaid gown. She captioned the photo with the eyes emoji and #DRUNK.
King shared a picture on Twitter that shows her and Lambert standing back-to-back, and wrote, “The whiskey goes down better when they don’t know who you are.,” seemingly a portion of lyrics from the new song.
Lambert and King previously teamed up for the ACM-winning “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” which also featured Maren Morris, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes and Caylee Hammack.
King also supported Lambert on her 2019 Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars tour.
