judge rules former kern supervisor to undergo mental health diversion

BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — Zack Scrivner, who once represented District 2, was granted mental health diversion in Superior Court Friday.

Prosecutors say Scrivner took mind altering substances and and sexually assaulted one of his children at their Tehachapi home in April 2024.

He’s also accused of possessing an illegal AK-47 style rifle and an AR-15 style rifle.

Scrivner is charged with three felony counts of child cruelty and two felony gun charges. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, which will be dismissed if he successfully completes the diversion program within two years.
