TEHACHAPI, CA (KUZZ) — The Tehachapi City Council has appointed Marianna Gutierrez to fill an open council seat for the remainder of its term.
Gutierrez will serve the remainder of the District 3 City Council term vacated by Michael Davies in January.
Guitierrez has a background in real estate, and says she’ll be focused on protecting Tehachapi’s small-town feel while responsibly advancing infrastructure, safety, and opportunities for economic development.
Guiterrez was sworn in Monday, March 2.
