BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A motorcyclist is dead following a solo-vehicle crash in southeast Bakersfield.
It happened Sunday at around 8:30 a.m. on South Mount Vernon Avenue at East Planz Road when the bike rider failed to negotiate a curve.
He died at the scene.
Police say the man was speeding. Officers are investigating whether impairment played a part in the accident.
