SACRAMENTO, CA (KUZZ) –The FBI has warned police departments in California about the possibility of Iran launching a drone strike on California.
ABC news reports the possible attack could come in retaliation for the war in Iran.
An official with the Bakersfield Police Department tells KBAK-TV the department is aware of the report but says there’s no indication Kern County would be targeted.
Governor Gavin Newsom said Wednesday the state has assembled some work groups around the concerns. Newsom says the state is sharing information in real time with local partners.
Spokespersons for the FBI in Los Angeles and Sacramento have neither confirmed nor denied the report.
