BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A murder charge has been filed against a man accused of a fatal shooting outside a bar in Oildale.
Steven Quick, 27, surrender to authorities in Grants Pass Oregon Tuesday following a shooting March 7, 2026, outside the Long Branch Saloon that took the life of Jason Hall, 43, of Bakersfield.
Witnesses say the killing stemmed from an argument between the two men that spilled into the parking lot of the saloon on North Chester Avenue.
Hall was pronounced dead at Kern Medical.
