BAKERSFIELD, CA (KUZZ) — A suspect accused of a killing a woman in northeast Bakersfield missed a court hearing.
Victor Farias, 33, had a medical issue which prevented him from being arraigned Monday on first-degree murder and other charges in connection to the stabbing death March 25, 2026, of Yolanda Rojo, 30, at the Shadow Ridge Apartments in the 7000 block of College Avenue. Rojo died at Kern Medical.
Farias was arrested in Tehachapi on March 26 and remains in jail without bail.
Arraignment has been rescheduled to April 1, 2026.
