DELANO, CA (KUZZ) — The California Highway Patrol reports drugs or alcohol may have contributed to a fatal car crash near Delano.
It happened at around 9:20 p.m. Saturday on Highway 99 near 9th Avenue where a 28-year-old man driving a Tesla collided head-on with a Nissan Frontier driven by a 49-year-old woman.
A Dodge Charger with a 23-year-old woman behind the wheel also struck the Nissan, whose passenger died at the scene.
Six other people in both the Nissan and the Charger suffered minor injuries.
