Hundreds of Kern County veterans turned out for today’s [wed] annual open house at the Bakersfield VA Clinic. Chief Outreach officer Charles Green says there was a wealth of information on hand, plus free barbeque. “There’s an opportunity for veterans to come and have a one-stop-shop to get engaged in their benefits, information on all VA programs, also, we have employers here from the Bakersfield community.” The Bakersfield Clinic is part of the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Healthcare System, which also hosts a website and social media. wwwlosangeles.va.gov.
