Give the Kern Sheriff’s helicopter an assist in locating an armed carjacking suspect last night in East Bakersfield. Deputies were called to Sparling, near Potomac Avenue and learned a suspect with a shotgun forcibly took the victim’s vehicle. The KCSO helicopter on patrol located the vehicle on Tanner Street, south of Potomac, and directed ground units there where the suspect was located and arrested. A shotgun was found, along with stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
