The coroner’s office says a 43-year-old man whose body was found outside the Kern County Courthouse on Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield died from blunt-force trauma.

Christopher Wagstaff of Bullhead City, Ariz., was found after 7 a.m. on Aug. 31.

Police are still looking for a person that was at the scene with Wagstaff hours prior to his death. The crime is being investigated as a homicide.
