Bike Bakersfield will be handing out taillights and headlights at multiple locations throughout Bakersfield and Arvin.

It’s the fifth installment of the group’s “Project Light Up the Night” this winter. Bike Bakersfield representatives will be out from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday. The locations are listed below:

• Bike Bakersfield Kitchen: 1708 Chester Ave.
• East Bakersfield: Mount Vernon Avenue and Niles Street
• Oildale: Roberts Lane and Chester Lane
• South Bakersfield: 4th Street and P Street
• Arvin: 1241 Bear Mountain Blvd.

The group says, through the program, it’s trying to improve the safety and visibility of area bicyclists.
