Higher oil prices helped snap a five-session losing streak on Wall Street.

The Dow gained 190 points, the Nasdaq jumped 64 points, and the S&P 500 increased 27 points on Friday.

Crude made its first weekly gain in seven weeks, up $2.44 to $48.69 a barrel.
