An Arvin man has been given a two-year federal prison sentence for filing false tax returns.

Prosecutors claim 46-year-old Federico Garcia bilked the IRS out of nearly $80,000 in refunds between 2007 and 2008. Garcia will have to pay that money back, per the plea deal.
