An east Bakersfield man has been found guilty of murdering his wife in October 2013.

Prosecutors say Jorge Aceves-Cortez killed Maria Cortez after striking her several times in the head in front of the couple’s children. He faces up to life in prison when he’s sentenced Feb. 19.
