Bakersfield assemblywoman Shanon Grove says she does not support a proposed bill that would allow ill patients to end their own lives by letting doctors prescribe lethal doses of medication for them.

She says the so-called “right-to-die” legislation will corrupt healthcare providers. She also says she doesn’t believe suicide is a proper way to end suffering.
