The student who died after collapsing during gym at Cecil Avenue Middle School in Delano has been identified by the coroner’s office as 13-year-old Jose Beltran, but they’re not sure what caused the child’s death.

They say he died after 10 a.m. on Monday.

Delano Police are now investigating the incident.
