A former Golden Empire Transit board member removed by city council says he wants his old position back.

Howard Silver and two other candidates were interviewed Tuesday to fill an at-large board vacancy.

Silver was canned by council members last year after unpopular route changes and a labor strike that stopped bus service for five weeks.
