A toxicology test has been ordered for a prisoner who died after being transported to Bakersfield Heart Hospital.

56-year-old Mark Davis was found unresponsive at the Lerdo Pretrial Facility just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Detectives with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the man’s death.
