Water use was down roughly 30 percent in areas near Taft in 2014, but increased slightly in the city.

The Taft Midway Driller reports less water was used in Ford City, Taft Heights, Maricopa, and in smaller surrounding communities. Usage was up by five acre feet in Taft and South Taft.
