Bakersfield mayor Harvey Hall has given members of the Cal State-Bakersfield volleyball team medals of appreciation for their superior play last season.

The team earned an NCAA tournament auto-bid after beating Seattle University in the Western Athletic Conference tournament final last November at the Icardo Center.
