A strike team of area firefighters has been assembled to battle a rapidly-growing wildfire in Inyo County.

The Kern County Fire Department says the team composed of firefighters from Mojave, Lost Hills, Woody, Edison, Piute and Inyokern will respond to the Round Fire this weekend. It’s currently at 50 acres.
