An incident review board says a Kern County Sheriff’s deputy did nothing wrong when he killed a 33-year-old Wasco man in his home on E Street.

They say Robert Reed acted within policy when he shot David Garcia on Jan. 26, and is back on full duty. Detectives claim Garcia was cutting himself and lunged at Reed with a knife after Reed failed to deploy a Taser.
