City to Appeal Harb Suit

Bakersfield will turn to the state supreme court to try to stop a new trial for the family of a doctor who waited over an hour for stroke treatment after wrecking his car.

The decision was made during a closed session between the Bakersfield City Council and the city’s attorney.

Police cuffed a staggering Mohamad Harb near 24th and Oak in 2007, believing he was drunk. The $25 million suit was tossed in 2012 after incorrect jury instructions were given.
