Kern County firefighters were able to knock down a fire that destroyed a house and threatened three nearby homes in Delano.

It happened at around 5 p.m. near 10th Avenue and Princeton Street on Thursday. Power lines were found down near the property, but investigators aren’t sure if they sparked the fire.
