PG&E Settles With State Over Plant Death

PG&E has settled with the Public Utilities Commission over the the death of a worker at the old Kern Power Plant on Coffee Road.

The utility has agreed to pay about $5.5 million, and will have to change the way it manages safety at job sites. A 51-year-old Los Angeles man died there in 2012 after a lift overturned.
