The man who died after being struck by two vehicles while walking in the fast lane of eastbound Highway 58 at Weedpatch Highway was a 40-year-old from Bakersfield.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office has not released the man’s name. He died at the scene after the accident happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday.
