Two Fresno gang members are jailed after police broke up an attempted drive-by near a Bakersfield convenience store before shots were fired.
The Bakersfield Police Department was conducting a follow-up investigation at the Johnny Quick store on 4th Street and Union Avenue before 10 a.m. Wednesday when officers spotted one of men pointing a gun outside the passenger window of a car.
Police says 19-year-old Mandell Jones and 20-year-old Samuel Harper were jailed after the car took off down Union Avenue. The car was eventually found near P Street and California Avenue.
