The Kern County Coroner’s Office says the infant that was found dead southwest of Shafter over the weekend was 2-month-old Landon Kendall.

He was found at a home on Orange Avenue East and Poplar Avenue just before 9 a.m. Saturday. Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death.
