The Kern Avoid DUI Task Force says it’s going to set up a driver’s license and DUI checkpoint somewhere within the Bakersfield area on Saturday, but they’re not saying where.

Bakersfield police say they’re trying to keep dangerous and impaired drivers off the road. They also say they’re trying to encourage the use of designated drivers.
