A 60-year-old man is jailed after Sheriff’s deputies say he stabbed a man several times in the stomach near the Kern County Fairgrounds.

James Cobbs was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon late Wednesday. They say the stabbing took place near Ming and South Union avenues just before 9 p.m. that night.
