Police have arrested two of three suspects linked to a mid-week crime spree.
Sergeant Joe Grubbs says the gang members were jailed Thursday for attempted murder and burglary.
“They were identified as Bryson Mitchell – 25 years old from Bakersfield, and Courtney Francis – 20 years old from Bakersfield,” he said.
Grubbs says Mitchell, Francis and another man robbed a restaurant on East Brundage Lane, a residence on Fiesta Avenue and a convenience store on Wilson Road, and fired rounds during an attempted drive-by on East Planz Road.
He says an officer saw Mitchell toss the gun used during the shooting Wednesday on Valhalla Street.
Mitchell was on parole at the time. Grubbs said he shed his GPS ankle monitor before the crimes were committed.
